The word oregano derives from the Greek phrase “Eros,” meaning mountain, and “ganos,” meaning joy. Hence, “joy of the mountains.” The Greek native Oregano of Lemnos grows alone only at the latitude arc of Lemnos (north Aegean sea), Samothrace (north Aegean sea) and Athos (mountain and peninsula in northeastern Greece). Has a unique distinctive strong spicy flavor with over 69% Thymol content. The product comprised of at least 92% blooming flowers and it is free of dust (soil), stems and large leaves.
