The following disclaimer applies to all products sold by Greek Elite Products, LLC (“GEP”) on our GreekBioStore website, as applicable.

Consumption and use of ALL products sold on our website, including any product that may contain a Major Food Allergen (see below), are subject to the limitations of liability and damages set forth in our Terms of Use, and the following disclaimers.

Always read all labels if you have any concern about whether you should consume any product.

Major Food Allergen Disclaimer
If you have a known food allergy or may have a food allergy, then it is your specific responsibility to read all product labels, warnings, directions, and other information provided on the packaging before consuming or using a product sold through this website.

An allergen is a substance that can cause an allergic reaction. More than 160 foods have been identified to cause food allergies in some individuals. There are a few foods and ingredients that have been identified and are considered to be “Major Food Allergens” by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”). When applied to the product, we will endeavor to list the major food allergens identified in The Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (“FALCPA”) as a courtesy for better awareness of allergens on product labels. FALCPA requires that foods are labelled to identify the eight major food allergens. The eight major allergens are: milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts and soybeans. These eight major food allergens identified by FALCPA account for over 90 per cent of all documented food allergies in the U.S.

Allergens other than the aforementioned major food allergens are not necessarily expressly highlighted as an ingredient in any product nor identified as an allergen. We advise you to review the list of ingredients included with each product or otherwise provided on our website if you are, or may be, susceptible to, or suffer from, ANY food allergy.

Always consult with your physician before consuming a food that contains an ingredient to which you may be allergic.

Skin Care Product Disclaimer
As with all other products available on the GEP website, skin care products as well as statements on our website or on any product, are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. No Independent Testing of Products and General Health Information
GEP imports and sells products from Greek manufacturers, distributors, and vendors (“Suppliers”). Each Supplier provides product information with their respective products.
GEP has not independently tested or verified any of the information provided by our Suppliers, nor has GEP independently tested any product for any reason. No information, statement, testimonial, or user comment on our website has been evaluated by the FDA. No information provided about any product sold on our website, including food, nutritional supplements, or skin care products, and their ingredients or components, is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or ailment. Consult with your physician, dietician, or other healthcare professional for advice concerning the effects, or side effects, of any product or ingredient, and whether the product is suitable for you. Always read all labels so you can be aware if a product has an allergen or ingredient to which you may have an adverse reaction.

GMO and Non-GMO Disclosures
“GMO” stands for genetically modified organism, and refers to plants, animals, or other organisms whose genetic material has been changed in ways that do not occur naturally. The “non-GMO” claim means that the food is made without ingredients that were derived from genetically engineered organisms. GEP relies on industry criteria and disclosures relevant to bioengineered or GMO foods to define the term “bioengineered food or ingredient.” Whenever possible, GEP will endeavor to identify products sold on our website that contain GMO ingredients. Classifications of GMO or Non-GMO foods or ingredients on this website are subject to change as the law on this subject evolves. GEP, however, does not warrant that it will always be able to identify products containing GMO ingredients.

Notice of Imported Products; Original Labeling
Labelling of imported products complies with country of origin labelling requirements. Products are imported and distributed within the U.S. by GEP in conformity with prevailing U.S. import laws and rules, including country of origin disclosures. Depending on how a product is delivered by a Supplier, the product will contain its original labelling as provided by a Supplier and may also be labelled in conformity with European Union labelling requirements.

GEP may add additional labels to the original product packaging upon entry to the U.S. to meet U.S. requirements. In the event a Supplier labels its product in the Greek language, GEP will endeavor to provide an English language translation when the product is shipped to our customers. However, English language translations for all Greek language ingredient labels shall be available from GEP upon request submitted to [email protected]
