Mint essential oil is is one of the most widely used essential oils. It can be utilized aromatically, applied topically and/or internally to address a number of health concerns, from muscles aches and seasonal allergy symptoms to low energy and digestive complaints. It also used broadly in the production of fragrances & cosmetics.
It’s was mentioned in the Greek mythology, when the nymph "Mentha" (or Minthe) was transformed into a sweet-smelling herb by Pluto, who had fallen in love with her and wanted people to appreciate her for years to come.
Mint has been used for health purposes for several thousand years. It is usually applied topically (to the skin) for headache, muscle pain, itching, and other problems.
This oil blends well with lemon, orange, neroli, tea tree, oregano, and lavender essential oils.

Dilute with a carrier oil for direct skin contact.
- For clean air, add 2 drops mint and four drops eucalyptus into a diffuser
- For body oil, add 7 drops of orange and 3 teaspoons of carrier oil and spread on skin
- For perfume, add 2 drops mint and combine with other oils of your choice
For external use only this is considered toxic if taken internally. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid if you have high blood pressure or epilepsy. May cause skin irritation in some individuals, so a skin test is recommended prior to use. If irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a licensed health care practitioner. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Dilute properly before use.
